I offer 1-1 support for the big & the small stuff in life.  Helping you get from where you are now, to where you want to be.  Giving you time & space to think about what you really want from your life.  Facilitating you through changes & challenges.

What would it be like to have some time to think?  To be truly listened to without being interrupted?  To process all the ideas and thoughts whizzing around your head?  To get clarity on what matters to you & on your next steps to reach your goals or feel fulfilled?  Maybe you feel that ‘something’ is missing…that you have more to offer and to experience.  Maybe you want a better work/life balance.  Coaching asks What Do You Really Want & Why?  You might have a clear idea already of what you want to accomplish in life, or you might not yet know, or you might be part way there but keep getting stuck.    Coaching explores it all!

Coaching is a positive, future-focused and professional short-term partnership that focuses on you becoming the best version of yourself, inspiring you to become more YOU.   It starts with where you are now and asks where do you want to be and how are you going to get there (and what could get in the way).  It focuses on & celebrates your uniqueness. It increases your self-awareness & emotional resilience whilst giving you time to think, explore what matters, identify your options & gain clarity. This is all within a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, non-directive & non-advisory sacred space aligned to the EMCC’s Code of Ethics.   It is a space where your whole self is always held in unconditional positive regard as you learn to trust your inner wisdom and you find your own solutions/next steps in your unique experience.

Coaching challenges you to enquire deeply into yourself and your life.  It challenges the ‘impossible’ and asks What Is Possible?  What can you do?   When and how can you do it?  It challenges limiting beliefs, assumptions, negative self-talk.  It explores reframing our current thinking and perspectives to experiment with new ways of being and doing.  In an increasingly uncertain and highly changeable world, it explores and focuses on what you can do, what you can control and what you can change; and also identifies what to accept and let go of.

In my coaching sessions, I like to use the GROW model which focuses on Goals, Reality, Options and Way Forward.  This model creates a really secure foundation for a coaching session.   With this foundation, I then bring in different coaching models and techniques depending on what the coachee brings to the session and what their preference is.  For example, if a coachee has a very clear goal that they want to achieve, we are likely to go down a more solutions-focused approach perhaps bringing in some imagery or visualisation to assist with goal-setting.  However, if a coachee doesn’t have a clear goal but wants to explore what a better work/life balance would look and feel like to them, we’ll go down a more co-active approach to allow an exploration of what ‘balance’ means to them.  This is also likely to include some imagery, visualisation and/or mindfulness exercises, and some elements of Gestalt or CBT as we explore thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours and ways to move out of feeling stuck.  Once the coachee has identified the ‘what’ and the ‘why’, they may then move onto a more linear approach such as GROW or solutions-focused for the ‘how’ and ‘when’; or all manner of different techniques may be utilised.  There is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach.
